A.J. Smith to be Redskins GM?

Gruden has to choose what type of team he wants to the Redskins to be. Like Kyle, Jay wants to pass more than throw. Kyle matured as a play caller in DC. He changed his play calling to fit player strengths.

If I was Gruden and the plan is to keep RG3 as the Quarterback then I would double down in the running game. Trade down in the first round to pick up an additional second rounder. In the first take an OT like Ronnie Stanley or Cedric Ogbuehi. In the 2nd take FS Gerod Holliman or Derron Smith followed by RB Todd Gurley with the additional pick.

Make a free agent pickup of Iupati and Helu to be the third down back. Then I'd run that 2headed monster of Morris and Gurley, use helu in the screen game. Keep the defense honest with DJax spreading the field on the long ball play action. I'd also draft Jeff Heuerman TE from Ohio State in the 4th (soft hands and good blocker).
