the NFL as an organization is just odd to me at this point. they seem to act late and then over-react. why even have an investigation in the first place? if it was done to appease fans and to dispel the appearance of incompetence .... why choose a person with heavy prior involvement repping the NFL and has ties to ravens pres Cass?

Re: All things off season 2015.
RGIII needs to realize that Coach Briles, Terry Shea, Daddy, and others who stroke his ego and make him feel good about himself can't help him now. They are irrelevant to his success as a QB on a Jay Gruden coached team. Gruden will pay absolutely zero attention to what any of them has to say about how RGIII should be used or the way he should be coached. RGIII will play in the Gruden system and be coached in the way Gruden coaches his QB's - period. End of story.
Robert first needs to realize that his career is in jeopardy. Then he needs to focus on doing exactly what Gruden wants him to accomplish over the off-season and nothing else - and I mean nothing else, including vacations, promotional appearances, etc. If he can, he needs to cram three off-seasons worth of work into one. RGIII needs to change. As long as he works for Jay Gruden, he needs to do what he is told to do as a professional QB by his boss - and only his boss. Then maybe, just maybe, he'll have a shot at one day becoming the NFL player he no doubt hopes to become. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins will be working his tail off to get better in Gruden's system.

Re: All things off season 2015.
Cleveland Browns' text message issue with NFL a bad look - ESPN
Earlier this week, a Cleveland.com report about former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan included a sentence about how Shanahan was disenchanted by a non-coaching Browns employee suggesting play calls to the sideline via text. If that's remotely true, that's pretty shameful. How an organization even has an outlet for something like that undercuts the coaching staff big time. If I were Shanahan, I'd be upset, too. Simply can't let some exec try to call plays. Man, this is terrible. Kyle couldnt escape being undercut by calling his own plays in Washington or in Cleveland... Amazing the douchebags in the cleveland front office would allow this...

Heard a funny joke about SBXLVIII.
"What did the Seattle Seahawks do after winning the Super Bowl?" "Played the second half." |

Re: All things off season 2015.
It would cost the Eagles more to cut Riley Cooper than it would to keep him.
One year ago, the Eagles laughably gave Cooper a $22.5M contract with $10M guaranteed. He predictably face-planted in 2014, pathetically recording a 55-577-3 line with a 2.9 YAC average despite playing on 81.9 percent of the snaps in Chip Kelly's spread offense. Pro Football Focus graded Cooper as their worst wideout among 110 qualifiers. They'd be insane not to hand Jordan Matthews the starting job next year, but cutting Cooper would result in $6.2M of dead money against the cap. Keeping him around (likely as a blocker) will cost $4.8M against the cap. per rotoworld lol why in the hell did they pay Riley Cooper and cut D Jax? It makes zero sense...you remember when the talking heads were picking the Eagles to be in the superbowl in the preseason...their roster is in worse shape than most think. Great to see

Re: All things off season 2015.
He should prob stay in Dallas, since that massive offensive line they have is the reason he did so well this year. And focusing on the run, and not on having Romo carry the team, is the reason why they won this year. However, I'm sure some team will overpay him.

Re: All things off season 2015.
The real question: Why do you have friends who are Cowboys fans? You need better friends. (J/K -- I have a few of them too. None are returning my emails today though. Can't imagine why.)

You're right, Murray likely won't look like Superman anywhere else.
