I don't believe that shit. I can understand why they write that crap because you never know with lil Danny at the helm. Just sitting back waiting to steer us into another brick wall. You know how you can tell who's really calling the shots the next few years? Sit back and see what happens. If a bunch of stuff happens that didn't happen with Scott with the 49ers/Seahawks, you know Danny and Bruce are up to their shenanigans. Big splashes. Big names. Big trades. None of that shit happend with Scott so it's going to be interesting.

AP isn't coming here. No way SM makes that kind of signing. Plus he wants to play for Dallas. Relax people.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
If there is any position that we need to try to fill in FA, it would be FS. There are no draft prospects to be had who could start right away at that position and I wouldn't want to use a rookie in that role even if there was somebody worth drafting.
DeAngelo Hall could probably move to FS and play well there, but i think we still need him at CB. If we don't do anything else in FA, I hope we can identify and sign a player who can finally fill that glaring hole in our defense. Please don't come back on me whining about how much that will cost in cap space. If the Skins can identify the right player for the job, I say pay the man! Nothing in life is free.

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
No, no and no on AP. That would be a Synder move and not as SM move. to many needs and cap dollars would be put to the way side if we brought in AP. We have a back who is more than capable now and that would be a huge waste of precious resources.

If we go after Peterson...Snyder gets the switch.

FS is a big weakness in this draft. Plus combine that with a pair of good young FA's available (28 y.o.) FS Devin McCourty and (25 y.o.) Tashaun Gipson. I say lets try get one of these guys. I would be ok with this being our only big FA spend. We would finally have a legit prospect at a very important position, the QB position of our defense would finally be addressed. Address OT and CB high in the draft, if we can trade down and we are not reaching too far. There is something I really like about Brandon Scherff, kind of reminds me of a bigger Russ Grimm and he can play Tackle or guard, wherever we need him most. If a starting caliber OG is signed in FA, I would also be ok with this. There are a couple of good ones available. This Free Agent class is also loaded with pass rushers, which makes drafting an edge pass rusher at #5 seemingly pointless. I would rather pass on it at #5. I know we have a ton of cap space (bordering on too much) tied up in our top 3 WR's, but to cut one creates a hole that has to be filled. That is spinning our wheels. Since we have other big needs I do not want to create another need at this time. Much less do I want to spend a valuable draft pick on a WR, event though this draft is loaded at WR. |

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
I hope AP isn't headed to Dallas. I really hope he isn't coming to DC. The one thing that scares me is I've read some reports that SM loves Frank Gore, who will likely be on the market. RB is one of the few positions we're set at, IMO. Especially if we keep Helu. RB and WR I don't see a big need.
