Again, another comment going too far. Look back at this thread and you'll see that all except for 1, maybe 2 posters said that this was a wait and see situation. Hardly anybody took the instragram stuff seriously, and wouldn't have unless the NFL came forward and said it was an issue.

Most intelligent people understand the nuances of social media and know which pieces need to be taken with a grain of salt. For example, if Adam Schefter's official account tweets news of a signing, we know we can trust it. But most people in this thread had the sniff test going on this Crowder item and it didn't pass the sniff test for most.

In fairness, Chico's statement was not designated as specific to this board. I read it more as a general indictment of society. This board excepted, their is a significant portion of the population that follows the "If it's on the internet, it must be true."

Also, even if nothing comes of this, the mere fact it was posted will cause many to doubt it's falsity no matter what comes out. Defamation is insidious that way and social media exacerbates that particular aspect of such things. Even after its deletion, screen shots will circulate. Further, years from now, it could come back through those same screen shots giving it fresh legs once again.

Re: Jamison Crowder Potential Domestic Violence

Here is a small snippet of unedited comments to this original story taken from elsewhere on the internet. A little mixed..mostly along the lines of "cut him"/"Why does the NFL focus on PSI instead of thugs like this?" with a little bit of reasoned thinking. As Schneed pointed out, 99% of the comments here don't reflect the prevailing lynch mob mentality. My point is that what is going on in the league right now and society in general is basically vigilante justice in the form of social derision and kangaroo courts. So little rational thinking. Geez I hate most of the internet

-25 games is the going rate (15 paid, 10 unpaid) for allegations not proven to be true

-Worst franchise in the league. Bozos hiring bozos.

-10 MF games

-Do all the football guys know that if they deal physically with anyone off the field that they will probably lose their incomes / freedom ??

-Goodell has placed such great emphasis on 0.5 psi & Brady that the rest of the school kids are running amok at home and in the streets.
Back to Business as Usual with the NFL.

-Fresh meat for the Internet lynch mob. You know what to do, guys and gals!

-Breaking…
NFL to leak more Deflategate ‘facts’ to distract from the real problem it has. — DV —

-Dammit. Cut him now McCloughan.
Httr

-Cut him posthaste.
No pay, no benefits, sue him for any monies already paid to him.
I am SO tired of idiots like this making the employer look bad due to their own stupid actions.
This kid is COLLEGE educated, therefore he KNOWS right from wrong. He chose wrong.
Do NOT blame the Redskins, the NFL, or Roger Goodell for this. Blame the player, his family, his agent, and his union.
Players will NEVER learn unless harsh and swift consequences occur. That is why he MUST be cut immediately and banned from the NFL for at least 1 year.

-No more…fake PSAs.

-thought we were all about character this draft!! smh…

-Maybe she hit him first?

-Before the last 3 weeks I associated the New England area as one of the more educated geographic regions of the country, along with NYC, and Washington DC.
You Pats fans continue to prove me wrong

-Hope he enjoyed his NFL career.

-I just don’t get it. When will these guys grow up?

-Definitely BLAME Goodell, at least where he is responsible as Commish.
He made it Loud & Clear that 0.5 psi is more Grievous & Disturbing then Smash Mouth Football on your wife, hooker, stranger, dog etc…
