What gets me is: The name wasn't a slur when it was coined, and for a long time after that. We football fans don't use it as a slur now. Yet because it was used as a slur back on old western movies and novels before that, some people (not NA's, other people wanting to make a "cause") want to change the team name.
No, don't go after the people who use it as slur, like the people who own the rights to said movies and novels. Go after the people who sing "Hail to the Redskins" most Sundays in the fall and winter.
People who want to change the name are stupid.
