Edit: if you dont have a wide open reciever just go down. Its as good as a run play.

There again, it should have never been an option for Eli to pass. Even Coughlin agrees that it was a very stupid decision to pass on 3rd. The game would have been iced with 40 seconds off the clock and another FG on the board. That would have sealed it b/c Cowboys didn't have the time to go that far with about 30 seconds left and no timeouts.

Coughlin: "My fault at the end of end the game, nobody to blame but me. Decision to throw the ball on third down was not a good decision."

On another note.....Cowboys lost their main WR

@DMN_George

Jerry Jones said Dez Bryant needs a screw in his foot. Says he'll miss 3-6 weeks probably.

Coughlin: "My fault at the end of end the game, nobody to blame but me. Decision to throw the ball on third down was not a good decision."

Tony Dungy said he had absolutely no problem with the playcall, but Eli has to know if its not there go down. You have to atleast give the potential 10 point lead a look there. Thats all. Ofcourse Coughlin is going to take the blame. He is a stand up dude but u know damn well he is saying to himself, "jesus christ eli fall on your ass dont throw the ball away!" Eli is no rookie. He took a look - had nothing- and made a conscious desicion to throw the ball away. Had they run The Cowboys still would have had roughly 45-50 seconds left on the clock, and Romo had just marched down the field like a surgeon effing general. Imo it is well worth the look to see if u get a wide open guy and can end the game rite there. Sure a run play would have eaten up the 35 seconds but so would falling on your ass so why not take a look first than go down. If anything coughlin should be blamed for it is not cementing that in Elis ear. But when u have a veteran qb who has won two superbowls u shouldnt have to tell him "whatever you do dont throw the ball away". Duh.

Watched that game. It was more the chargers early mistakes.

Chargers defense dominated and the chargers offense with many weapons got into groove.

That's my sleeper team. Underrated defense and rivers has a plethora of weapons with Gordon, Woodhead, Allen, Floyd, Stevie Johnson and Ladarius Green. They also get back Gates in game 5. I think that team will do some things in AFC

Rivers is good man always has been.

Dez out will kill dallas imo. They will be lucky to start 4-2 I'd say more likely 3-3

Re: Around the Nfl week 1

This kid for Tyler Lockett for Seattle might be the steal of the draft. I really wanted SM to draft this kid. We have Crowder and all, and he may end up being really good for us, but Lockett had a great pre season and it carried over to the first game.

Agree, I remember you getting crushed by a bunch of WPers for not liking that we passed him over, but he's gonna be really good.

I dont disagree about the talent, but you have to look at what the extra picks got us. Seattle took him with our 3rd round pick they got in the trade, but with the picks in return, we got Matt Jones, Arie Kouandjio, and Kyshoen Jarrett. As of now, all three are looking like keepers.

Atlanta had a terrible awful defense last year. They are just swarming the Eagles.
