He's a blue collar player and the Skins have got to love that. I'm thinking that his work ethic and potential made it hard for them to cut him.

I think he needs to know our defense inside and out, study NFL offenses, and build up his body to succeed in the NFL. Perhaps, he'll be ready next season.

Well your reasoning makes a lot more sense then being put on IR at beginning of yr for a concussion

ELI5 version: He's not ready but they don't want to give him up.

Damn this is on front page of ESPN today, damn we have been such a bad team, hard to believe we were once among the elite

REDSKINS NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME
The Redskins are just 4-17 in prime time games since 2008. That's the worst record in the NFL among teams with at least 10 such games in that span.

I'm freakin amped and its only 1100....

I hate Thursday games though....and recently I hate prime time games because well....we've mostly sucked......but with this ground game and commitment to it and this defense?

.......I can feel it coming in the air tonight

It is what it is. No better time to start turning it around than tonight.

That is just dumb. What does this particular team have to do with 2008, or 2009, or etc etc.

Well it has nothing to do with 2008, but what about last year? We got our ass whipped last year in primetime, just shows how bad we have been over the years

But we didnt. We beat the Eagles and the Cowboys last year in primetime. Half our damn wins. Lol. We also competed against the Seahawks. We got spanked against the Giants.
Either way nobody is arguing we have been bad for a long time. Primetime or not. However if they are going to make some insane connection between the last 8 Skins teams and tie them all together than you only need to look back to last year. We played two of our best games on primetime.

Damn we had 4 primetime games last yr?
So we've only won 4 games in pt since 08 and 2 were last yr?
Well then hopefully that bodes well for tonight

My point exactly. And we played the NFC champs damn tough. So not only is the ESPN article stupid, but it is wrong. Apparently if there wAs one thing the "current" team was ready for last year it was primetime.

Re: Week 3: Redskins v Giants

lots of bad past stats for the skins.

lost 12 of last 14 vs NFC east opponents

7-25 past 2 years

1-1 = only relevant stat

It wasn't an article, it was just that fact put on the front page. And how is it wrong? Oh you must mean the fact that it says they are not ready for primetime instead of what the record is

Gruden is what 5-13. Three of his better games have been on primetime. Almost half his wins. Id say the title is wrong.

To avoid putting him on the PS. On IR, he can stay on the squad. Just a guess. Then again, maybe his concussion is that bad?? You never can tell with this crap to be honest.
