Not sure I'm buying into the criticism of the play calling. We've got an o-line with two starters on the IR while one starter is a rookie playing a position he never played before; and TE depth is a mess. Behind all of that is a QB who's basically a fourth round rookie. Last night they played a very strong defense that had ten days to rest and prepare.
Under these conditions, I would expect a conservative game plan, particularly with a tight score, which it was last night. The running game never got going enough to really open things up, and that Lee dude seemed to break up all the screens and bootlegs. So the number one priority of the Redskin offense was to not turn the ball over, which they didn't do. We saw good situational game calling; it just didn't work out. Sometimes you just lose games.
