Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
If we end up 8-8 it's a good season for this team, even 7-9 is good. I honestly don't care if we win the division because we r not a good enough team to make a run anyway. Plus we would most likely play Seattle or GB and we ain't beating them.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
If our pass protection had been better, Jackson probably has 1-2 TD receptions and the game is out of reach for Dallas before the 4th quarter begins.
This game was a mediocre Dallas team hanging around with a team that once again couldn't get out of their own way and in the end made 1-2 plays to win a razor thin close game. That was the only way Dallas was going to win. Our entire gameplan on offense played right into what Dallas was hoping for. Our plan looked like we were so scared of losing that we refused to go out and win. |

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
There is no one answer to why we lost. We are all just prioritizing different points. All that shows is how fucking terrible we played. We stunk up the joint last night all over the field on offense and special teams. It was pathetic. We are still the Redskins, better than last year, but we were 4-12. Hard to be worse.

I agree with everything but in the big picture if we thought this team was "at best" a six win team before the season - well than u have to now still feel that way. This is that team. Dont be so sure about DJax not doing this again either. There are plenty of college teammates and eagle fans that werent surprised in the slightest. Christ he just pulled a stunt similar last week against the Gints. It is a pattern that has followed him his entire career. I thought that he had matured as a Skin. I was wrong. I also mentioned before that of the three turnovers we got points on one. We should have gotten points on another but the refs screwed us. We are about 5-7 players/starters away from fielding a seriously competitive team. A couple of those guys are already here but hurt. Watch what SM does with FA and the draft. We will be damn good next year. All this being said - smile because we still control our own destiny in a true rebuilding year. That is just a bonus. HTTR |

Playing them or minnesota. Also remember we would play them at home. Im more concerned about winning atleast 2 of 4 because 3 are on the road. If we do manage to win the division than throw it all out the window. Anything can happen if we get in. |

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
Well this Sunday we will see if jay can actually win a damn road game. If we lose then we are out of it imo. I think we have to beat philly and dallas for sure then we'll need a win from Chicago or buffalo and I'd say all 4 games are a toss up. We could easily lose them all

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
Pretty hacked off about the loss. No excuse for playing so flat, dumb penalties, and for the completely unimaginative play calling. We had a chance TO ELIMINATE DALLAS ONCE AND FOR ALL this season and we didn't take it. We had a chance to actually win back-to-back games for the first time in I cannot recall and we didn't take it. We had a chance to go up two games in the division with only a few weeks remaining and we didn't take it.
In sum, we had a chance to actually show we're a team that has taken the next step from the shit show it has been for two decades (with the exception of the 2012 7 game win streak, which now seems a fluke) to something approximating a real NFL franchise -- and we didn't take it. Against the Cowboys. At home. On national tv. If you're not sick about this game, you should be. I get it -- we've been better than last year (competitive in most games, already more Ws, etc.). And we seem to have some parts coming together which bodes well for the future. But c'mon -- you play this game for the opportunity to go out and compete on nights like last night, and we just didn't. D played reasonably well, but couldn't make stops in the end. Special teams was pretty crappy. Offense was largely uninspired and couldn't get much going all night. We had very good opportunities to win against Miami, Atlanta, and now Dallas. Winning those games is the difference between 5-7 and 8-4 -- in other words, from being a mediocre (at best) team to a winning team in command of our division. We have been the former for so long, many of us are starved for the latter. Knowing that we may get there in 2016 or 2017 is cold comfort when the opportunity was there in 2015.

Just out of curiosity how many games did you think this particular group of Redskins was going to win before the season,(and overwhelming amount of gametime lost to injuries)? |

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
I figured about 6 or 7. Obviously injuries are a problem, especially for a team without real depth. And I would be the first to say that there are certain aspects of our season where the team has outperformed expectations -- e.g., the kicking game (save for yesterday), our secondary (only 1 300 yard passer so far this season), Crowder, and the Scherff-Moses tandem on the right O line. But I still believe that they could do more with what they have, and watching flat performances like last night is beyond frustrating.
BTW, I note that the Bears seem eerily similar to the Redskins right now in certain respects (5-7 record, just lost a close one against a team they were expected to beat at home): Bears intend to bounce back from loss We will see the kind of character this team has on Sunday.

It was a division game, and we lost. That's frustrating. The team seems to be making small steps every week, even in last night's loss. But I will say this, I expect us to beat both the Bears and the Bills in the next 2 weeks. I think this loss gives the team that much push to succeed. |

Before the season with group A you thought 6-7 wins. Season starts and we have huge amounts of injuries to group A. Week 13 - 5 wins for Group A and you are expecting more. It is illogical as Dr Spock would say. You are suffering from a reality check. Lol. The good news is that Group A is in first place. That is something completely unexpected. Every game is a playoff game now. We will hope for the best. We were bound to lose at home and we are bound to win on the road. |

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
So your view is that whatever guesses I (or anyone else on this forum) might make before a single regular season snap about the number of wins should set our expectations for the entire season, irrespective of what we see transpire on the field?
Yes, I thought 6 or 7 wins (and that may turn out to be exactly right). But I also saw better QB play, special teams, and secondary play than I was expecting, which offset somewhat the injuries that we have had throughout the season. And expectations can change over time. For example, I didn't expect we would beat NE this season. But before this season began, I thought we'd be competitive with the Panthers (whose offense hasn't been scary), but by the time that game rolled around, I changed my mind. So yes, I think expecting the team to win last night against a Dallas team with talent but that had not played well this season and was on the brink of elimination wasn't too much to ask -- no matter how many wins I thought were possible in August.
