I'd agree that $19.9M per season would be overpaying for Cousins based on body of work to date. But the tradeoff is that you aren't committed beyond next year if he turns around and goes in the tank.

Analysts are paid to overreact. $19.9M will not be the final number for Cousins this season, they'll work out a deal sometime over the summer.
