It's really misleading to say Griffin was benched after 5 games in 2014. 5 games into the 2014 season RG3 was sitting on the bench not because Gruden or anyone benched him, but because Griffin injured himself jumping while throwing a pass.

Do you want me to recount the ugly game-by-game recap of 2014 for Rg3? It might explain why Gruden's decision to name Cousins the starter in 2015 was easy after RG3 got injured(again) that preseason.

Right now RG3 isn't in that circle of QBs. Think Manziel, Clausen, and other projects.
