Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread
Joe is right, I'm an ass. That's the persona I take on around here. Punch don't worry I wasn't on tilt; I take on the troll persona when trying to enforce quality discussion for the knowledgeable Redskins fan.
And Hijinx I have no hard feelings to you; I guess starting the name calling thing wasn't a great move, but I honestly didn't think calling someone a 'panicky little ninny' would be a big deal or get under anybody's skin. It's kind of a goofy thing to call somebody, I thought the playful nature of it would stand on its own. But yes we are all Skins fans here. Like Hijinx, let's say hypothetically that over on a Cowboys or Eagles board one of those turds posted a link to this thread and said "hey guys, check out this discussion on this Redskins board The Warpath, this guy Schneed is completely annihilating this guy Hijinx with his immense knowledge of the franchise tag, salary cap, and CBA. Come watch, it's hysterical." Well as soon as those assholes showed up I'd tear into them and defend you, because you're a Redskins fan and we're all family here. ![]() As for Cousins, many of us have been strong voices in the "Chill the F Out" camp, the strongest of which have been me and Matty. I think if you understand the relationship between Cousins and McVay, and between Cousins and Gruden, and the fit that Cousins has within this offense, then it was plain as day to see that Cousins does not want to be anywhere else. I maintain my prediction: they'll come to a long term agreement before Week 1. Maybe Cousins comes down a little bit in his demands because he knows there's no place he'd rather be than here with Gruden and McVay. Or maybe the Redskins see how Cousins works and how he progresses throughout OTAs, and become more confident in committing big money for the long haul. Either way, both sides want each other, quite badly. That's the only read on the situation you can possibly have. And we should celebrate for it. HTTR
