Since we've tendered Compton, I think I'll switch my FA priorities.

I gotta feeling we'll do the exact opposite of what I'm thinking here, since we went defensive minded in last year's FA...but FA is for the big needs...draft is for the best players, so, here is what I would do.......

#1- S - I'd try to lock up an up-and-coming safety - we can use some younger legs back there. I expect D-Hall to play better this coming season, but injury risk is a concern.

#2 - NT ...I don't much about him, but Ian Williams sounds interesting. Played 58% of the defensive snaps. I still think we draft D-line, but we do stand to lose a lot of veteran presence on the line, depending on Hatcher's decision.

#3 -ILB - I'd love Trevathan- he is everything we need. But, I wouldn't break the bank to get him. Compton knows the calls, so if we get pushed, we could pair him with an athletic player (Spaight?) or a rookie, depending on how the draft unfolds.

#4 - I keep forgetting that we have to sign Galette, but I'd love to see what he could bring if he gets healthy.

I'm leaving out CB, but, if Culliver can't make it back, then I could see this being a bigger priority.


p.s. - for the draft I'd be looking at:
DL, C, CB, WR, QB, LB, RB for the draft.

Hopefully we can get a starting C from this year's crop.
