All it takes is the Redskins being more successful scoring TDs once they get into the red zone, early in the game. If they can actually start building leads early, then it's going to be darn near impossible to beat us with our ball controlled offense.

We could probably nip - pick about Joe Montana, Brett Farve, etc.... when it comes down to it, Brunell is running this offense quite well and right now, he gives us the best chance at winning. We're 3-2 and have a great chance at being 4-2 after this coming weekend. That is a whole heck of a lot better than a season ago.

Brunell is playing far better than he did last year, which isn't really saying much. But those fumbles are becoming an increasing concern.

The reason many prefer Brunell to Ramsey is not because he fumbles any less. In fact, they both fumble as much as the other when hit by D-linemen. The simple reason is that a healthy Brunell is more accurate and throws fewer INTs - that is indisputable.

To curse out Brunell at this point is retarded IMO.

He hasn't been perfect - but pretty damn close. Jeez what do you want from the guy? Granted the 2nd fumble was his fault but come on! Should we dump Santana cuz he dropped a pass?

Brunell has played phenomenal, and more importantly, he's running Gibbs' offense perfectly. He's making smart choices, ducking unblocked sacks, getting out of the pocket when he needs to, throwing the ball away when he needs to, and the list goes on. I mean how many times has Brunell missed an open receiver or thrown a stupid pass into double coverage?

I makes me feel stupid defending the play of our team MVP so far.

I agree.

I hate how people just have to have a scapegoat. It can't be a team effort. It ALWAYS has to be one or two people, or one or two coaches. We've all said it, turnovers were the keys to us winning and losing the past two weeks.

Against Denver is was the lack thereof and against Kansas City, it was shooting ourselves in the foot again.

Listening to Brunell in the Press-Conference he admitted that he should have stepped up in the pocket on the one sack involving Samuels. Warren put a speed rush to the outside on Chris, and while Chris rode him to the outside and past Brunell, he still managed to (at the last possible moment) reach out and slap at the ball on his way past Brunell. He's of the opinion had he stepped up just as he went by, maybe he wouldn't have gotten a piece of his arm or the ball.

Unfortunately, these type plays happen sometime though I think in Brunell's case, I would like to see him hold the ball a little higher (even when rolling out) before his delivery. His holding the ball that way allows for the prospensity of having the ball stripped. I remember Lawrence Taylor made a living making the very same type plays on OB's that GW did to Brunell on Sunday. I have watched Brunell his entire career and he has always held the ball that way in preperation to pass. He' been doing it that way for so long, I don't know if he can even correct it. It could be that it's just force of habit.

Plus I fully agree with what you said. I am amazed that anyone would complain about Brunell's play right now. The guy is on a roll.
But I guess some Ramsey fans are still bitter.

That was almost a pun....Cutting Rock would be stupid. He's the definition of a core guy. He contributes on ST's and has done everyting he's ever been asked to do. Even in the preseason when everyone was on Nemo's nuts, Rock outperformed him. He can move a pile and catch out of the backfield. On top of which (as previously mentioned) he's a ST beast. Nemo, on the other hand, is a ST's numbnuts. What the hell was he thinking jumping in front of Thrash and catching the ball?? Someone needs to tell him in the history of the league theres never been a successful 250lb return man who runs the forty in forty 16secs.
