I agree with this. And when I heard that he was in the player interviews at the combine, that's what kept me level headed about McCloughan being phased out. I do think Jay knows how to assess football character and I think he has a strong vision for what he wants his team to look like. I would go so far as to say I would trust him to have final say over our draft board on a go forward basis.

I hope Allen and Doug Williams listen to him on draft day.

The only remaining reservation I have about Jay is whether he keeps himself open minded enough about coaching staff hires. Does he rely too much on those he knows, thus limiting himself to a narrow field of candidates. We'll see.

Overall in Jay I trust.
