The Redskins view Terrell McClain as a nose tackle in base and a tackle in nickel. He’s not big -- he's listed at 302 pounds -- but he relies on quickness and footwork to penetrate. He hasn’t been the most consistent player, either, playing only one season of 16 games. But he can make plays, and the Redskins like how he moves sideline to sideline, a key when they’re in nickel vs. spread offenses. But he’s coming off his best year and was active.
