Snake...I think it comes down to teams (scouts, gm, coaches, owner) just become enamored with what a player did in college, no matter the system. RGIII's case is a perfect example...sure he was in that spread offense (who isn't these days) but he lit it up and ran all over people. Couple that with his bright personality and starving for QB team like the Redskins could not resist...especially the owner in our case. I remember plenty of talking heads saying they would not take him that high and that durability was legit concern, but in the end, they took him on the "chance" that he'd be great and overcome those things.
