Why are doing drop back plays on 3rd and 1? Did we throw one deep pass to the wr's? Pryor may be useless but he's big and tall. Give him and Doc some jump balls. Maybe you get some PI's.
Yep the X factor was 11, He is on a different planet this yr. He looks like Ben in his younger days. Kirk played very well all night, he has no help at WR. Wentz has veteran guys like Jefferey and SMith .

This is the truth. There is practically no problem we have now that wasn't created by Snyder ignoring and then forcing out of the organization competent player personnel executives and coaches.

Bruce is just a puppet; someone for Dan to hide behind because he is so unpopular.

But like I said in a previous post everything is gamble especially with personal.

Oh well, we win next week we are 4 and 3; you can build off that.

Wise words.

As infuriating as last night's game was, (and trust me, when you stay up until 6am so see this, you're infuriated), it's just a loss in a game where we were the clear underdog.
The team that beat the Raiders and the Rams and could've beaten the Chiefs is still here.

Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread

I like how their QB is stronger than our front 7 players. Do the Redskins have a weight room and stength & conditioning program? Looks like they send them to the local gym to mess around and do some curls.

We're an 8-8 type team. Those teams always have a few games a year they look good but just as many games where they don't.

There are definitely some plays we left on the field. But our coverage talent got exposed. More huge plays and 3rd down conversions.

And Gruden was terrible last night. That's the type coaching people want you fired for. We make 3rd and 1 look like 3rd and 21.

Yep. Pryor was a 50/50 gamble, obviously it doesn't look good but there's still time to turn it around. They knew what they were getting. Next year Kirk needs at least 1 reliable receiver to take pressure off Doctson and Crowder.

Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread

Positives:

1. This D is not the same without Josh Norman. Good news, he should be back in a week or so and ready for the playoff push.

2. Zach Brown is a stud.

TACKLES TOT SOLO SACKS TFL PD QB HTS TD
Zach Brown 13 10 1.5 4.5 0 2 0
^^ Pay the man.

3. Doctson is playing back to back weeks.

4. Nick Rose didnt embarrass us or himself.

5. With Cousins ability to process information and make quick reads, maybe we can gameplan around a depleted O line. I assume Trent will sit for a few weeks, imagine we lose 1 or 2 more guys at the rate things are going.

6. Breeland didnt aggravate his knee and looked good last night.

7. Kerrigan is playing well.

8. Galette sighting. Yes he was going up against a backup LT but he had about 5 tackles and a half sack.

9. Preston Smith isnt lining up offsides anymore.

10. Offense moved the ball, not totally relying on screens. bad part is, I think we could have benefited from more screens against a depleted eagles LB corps.

11. Yes, swearinger was beat but it was 1 on 1 with receivers running right at him. hard assignment imo.

12.

Very disappointing loss. I feel like this team could easily be 5-1 (or 1-5 for that matter)...

Last night any chances at the division took a significant hit. Philly essentially has a three game lead on us now.

The next four games are critical - against NFC teams that currently have equal or better records. In my opinion, the Skins need to win at least six of the remaining eight games against the NFC to have a shot at the wild card.

Re: Skins @ Birds Gameday thread

Is it me, or does it seem like the D-line gets a push and harasses QBs early in games, and then the pressure just mostly disappears?

Granted this D is not the same without Jonathan Allen and Josh Norman, but this seemed to be happening even with them on the field...maybe it's my imagination....

Against the run he is. Not against the pass and it's costing us pretty big. The 3rd Eagles' TD is on one of his brain farts again.

You are 100% correct. Winning starts at the top and winning teams aren't run by the yo-yos running the Skins.

Sometimes I wonder if the way the FO handled the WR situation in the offseason was in part to minimize KC's weapons so they could justify letting him go. With Snyder in charge I think anything is possible.

Watch Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles [10/23/2017] - NFL.com

Well ... yeah it appears Zach had man on the RB and is looking to eager to pass rush before realizing his assignment was leaking out. Still great closing speed, made Wentz have to throw a perfect ball on a tough catch.

Dangit, I just want to find the good in this world!!!

Yeah this is what makes it so frustrating, with his speed and time reaction he could be a really good covering LB !!!

And he still is a great addition to this D. But he makes me go arrraggggagggrrrrr
