Yes, because the Patriots are the rule, not the exception. Look I agree with you that we shouldn't break the bank, but do you realize how much cap space we have? The money he has asked for isn't a whole lot more than what we're already paying him! We are literally giving him 24 million of our cap space this year, a long term deal will definitely not be much more than that. Look at the percentage of cap space we have open, it's definitely attainable. But for 2 years in a row they have tried to lowball him. If we do it again this year he walks.
