Redskins trade for Alex Smith

I’m trying to consider our alternatives, which were shitty. Cousins didnt want to be a Redskin, so keeping him would have required a tag. Not an acceptable solution.

Colt and a rookie? Not an acceptable solution.

Bridgewater coming off a knee? Bradford? Fragile his whole career.

I hate giving up Fuller, that’s a valuable piece. But if you asked me if I’d rather give Fuller and a 3rd for Smith, or go for one of these other bad options, I think I’d take Alex Smith.

Here’s why:

Smith INTs the last three years, 5, 8, 7. Cousins, 13, 12, 11.

Smith’s fumbles 2, 7, 4. Cousins, 13, 9, 9.
