Cred, you prove my exact point with the "pruning the hedges" analogy. In your mind, less gov't interference in people's lives is the ideal goal. It's not the people that I want the federal gov't to regulate, it's businesses (which have 1 goal that sits paramount to every decision they make). How many businesses give two shits what negative effects they have on people's lives, or the long term sustainability of the planet, at the expense of profit? Not many.

Chico, every day we see Trump say some dumb shit, and every day it gets perpetually ignored by his base in favor of the "great" things he's done. That's why I believe as long as the economy does well, he can do no wrong in the eyes of his supporters.

When the immigration bs popped off, the argument was "well illegal immigration is bad, why can't immigrants come the legal route?" Now he's going after legal immigration too so what's the new argument? Legal, illegal, it doesn't matter. He doesn't like minorities. Shithole countries? Muslim ban? Latin Americans aren't sending their best? Do we gotta wait to hear a recording of him saying some heinous shit about minorities before you believe he might be a tad bit racist? He's taking a page out of the highly effective alt-right playbook. "We're not anti-minority, we're pro-white." The fact he refuses to directly confront the alt-right is because he knows every vote counts, even the racist vote. The last politician to embrace the white supremacy endorsement tried to take over Europe.

The misogynistic argument is the one where he doesn't value women who aren't good looking. How many ugly women does he have working directly for him? It's not a secret, he shits on his female opponents by discussing their looks. Do I even need to mention grabbing them by the pussy?
