But Gruden chose Manusky. I had concerns at the time that he wasn't considering his options well enough, sticking with an in-house candidate due to familiarity and continuity. It tells me Jay is too conservative, unimaginative and too unwilling to expand his horizons.

You can't say Jay didn't pick the players, he's had a lot of say in drafts. You can't say Jay doesn't call the plays and own the game plan. And you can't say Jay didn't pick the coaches. He picked them all.

Someone else should get a shot to show what they can do with this roster. A good coach will get them into the playoffs, there's enough talent.

I would also bet that Jay had a lot to do with keeping Luvao around.
