BETTS return for a TD!!!

Portis and Betts both had great days on a heartbreaking loss to Tampa Bay. Wanna make light of some great contributions while dwelling in the 1 pt loss; scoring 35 pts against the #1 defense and giving up 36 pts to a left for dead Firemarshall Bill QB. Saleve'a had a great forced fumble, Moss, Cooley, Betts, Portis, Brunell had some great plays. Sure Brunell threw 2 picks and fumbled, but he didn't quit and continued to move the offense. We've played with every team except the Giants. Broncos, Chiefs and Bucs all close games. We can put up points when we have to, but our secondary needs to not let someone past the safeties. Usually it means BIG play! Hats off to Gibbs, entire coaching staff, team and organization. Hell of a fight yesterday, unfortunately we came up 1 pt fewer by the end of regulation. 36-35. Sad loss, but it reminds me of the Gibbs era 80's so much is scary. Yeah we lost, but jeez what a darn game. Better than any movie. Bounce back next week!!!

Amen - there were so many positive things going on for the offense and special teams. It's obviously frustrating to see our D lay down like that, but this was the first game in many many years where I was just flat-out excited about the season due to consistently good play by most of the team.

Re: BETTS return for a TD!!!

There have been many positives this season that Gibbs has brought back to this franchise, such as accountability, the desire to win, hard work and dedication, but there are still some things that have been common with this team for the past decade that have yet to change. Starting strong and being unable to keep the momentum going, looking like champions one week, and falling apart the next, etc. It just seems like they have a tough time bringing it all together and keeping it that way. And while I'm still positive overall about the season, it's hard to not fall back into old habits until something changes.

Thanks for that reminder and putting this loss in perspective. We still have to fix our broke D tho.

Re: BETTS return for a TD!!!

lux great job by a positive skins fan.i live in eagle country and its nice to hear positives after a loss.right now i think the skins can beat anyone, they just have to bring it all together(plus no more turnovers)i know its been some time since the glory days but after 8-10 years of ineptitude,we are definitly headed in the right direction
