This. Even if the Caps had won, I highly doubt they would've made it past the Islanders. They looked lousy from the first OT on, it was clear their conditioning was lacking.

I really wouldn't be surprised if they just wanted a normal offseason to rest, they didn't look like they wanted it from 2-0 and 3-1 on last night.
