Parcells. He took the Giants and Patriots to the Super Bowl. Took the Jets to the AFC title game. And look what he did with the Cowboys last year where his "big 3" were Carter, Hambrick, and Glenn, as opposed to JJ who had Aikman, Smith, and Irvin. Johnson was a fine coach but I'll take Parcells. The knock on Parcells of course has been that he really hasn't won much without Belichick.

Johnson is probably the best personell guy ever, He always had great draft picks because he was the Canes coach and knew all the college talent. Look at the players he drafted, then look at the players drafted once he left. No comparisson. Im going to say Johnson is a better coach, hes got more rings, and had a dynasty built. Parcels is a great coach to step in and get the most out of players, mabye the best, but not many people hvae built teams and kept them together the way Johnson did.

I'm going with Jimmy too. Not only did he win, he kept those guys there. He had Ervin taking pay cuts. Every single one of those guys believed the system and worked hard for it. I think Parcells is a great coach, but for my pick for head coach I'd take Johnson.
PS - Just because he was a former Miami coach doesn't mean every Miami player is awesome. Aikman - UCLA Smith - Florida Irvin - Miami Ishmael - Notre Dame Here's a full list of Miami players on their team: Willie Broughton - DT Alanzo Highsmith - RB Michael Irvin - WR Jimmie Jones - DL Randy Shannon - LB Daniel Stubbs - DE Steve Walsh - QB That's for 1990 and most were backups. Just saying that Miami isn't the end all be all of college football. http://www.dallascowboysfanclub.com/...eamrosters.htm is where I got the info. |
