I wonder if it's just an asking price as the agent and Williams probably already knew any team would not meet that offer but would be willing to something close to 20 such as 18m per year or something? As of right now, Lane Johnson - a RT for Eagles is highest paid tackle in NFL with average of 18m per year (according to sportrac.com). So I'm guessing that's where Williams and his agent got the numbers from.

Williams obviously knows his football career will end soon so he wants to cash in as much as he can get.
