"Right now their quarterback situation is hurting them a little bit," Paulsen added. "I think the same thing happened with Austin Hooper perhaps as well, although they didn't end up coming up as much with the value that they needed to and the money was the reason he didn't come."

"But just as a general discussion that I heard last night – agents, players, pass-catchers – they don't look at the Redskins as, 'Oh, let's go there and work with that offense. Let's go there and work with that coordinator or that quarterback.' They're not getting that luster."

Yikes
The only person we "missed out on" is Cooper. For Austin Hooper, we got outbid by the Browns.

It sounds that from everything that has taken place, is that the team has been disciplined about not going over their set limit on certain players. As opposed to everyone not wanting to come to DC.

Also, people have been clamoring for a rebuild, but now they want the team to go after a bunch of pricey free agents like we are a playoff/super bowl contender? I don't get it. I guess I would imagine that happening from fans, but not the media.

But then again, Grant Paulsen is the next Jason Reid.
