The salary cap is far more flexible than some people think. The first year cap hit of new deals is often a little more than half the average value of the contract. Amari Cooper for instance , his new deal has an average of $20m but the first year hit this year is only $12m...... According to OTC, without having signed Dak, they have only $40m of cap space next year, the Eagles are $20m over the cap next year.... the Redskins? They have over $100m of space
