I feel very similar. I have even decided regardless of perception we need to look at actual data and the impacts. This is a review research paper (a paper that asks a research question and then finds papers that validate and refute the research question). In this case the psychological effects of Native American mascots on Native American students. It is an interesting read, it also is not definitive.
