Lifetime suffering Redskin fan and ODU is my alma mater. Heinicke was great at the FCS level, and became starter midway through his freshman year. As I posted on another thread, Heinicke has all the tools except one, and his size makes him injury-prone at this level, particularly with how much he scrambles. Thrilled to see a really good "kid" get a shot and as happy to hear that he was finishing up his engineering degree when Washington picked him up - should tell you something right there.
At ODU his sophomore year, he threw for 730 yards in a 64-61 win over New Hampshire (then a D-1 record). That was a game a helluva lot more people say they attended then actually were there - it was just spectacular.
