Tampa Bay played old school smash mouth football when they needed to....
The power running game with Fournette (#1 rusher in playoffs by a long shot) and their very strong offensive line helped Brady out immensely. The O-line also did a great job of protecting Brady.
Tampa's defense was #1 in the NFL regular season in only giving up just 3.6 yards per carry.
They recreated the old NFL recipe for success in the Playoffs, run the ball and stop the run. Back to basics, they ran the ball and ran short screens to slow down the KC blitzing. Then they could throw. it was not the other way around.
Tampa defense also led all teams in post season with 10 sacks and 7 interceptions.
Tampa just plain and simple physically beat up a smaller and weaker team.
KC drafting small speedy skill position guys the last few years caught up to them. Got to have the horses up front.
