Pro Football Focus's improvement index as of today, including the Fitzpatrick and Jackson moves.
They measure aggregate Wins Above Replacement (WAR) before and after the moves, and measure the % difference. We're 2nd, behind New England, who has spent scads of money to get there. It's the QB spot that moved the needle so much. It's not that Fitzpatrick is anything special, it's just that's how bad the regular season combination of Alex/Haskins/Allen was. Alex stabilized it, but if you're going to be a total statue you have to light it up from the pocket. The 5-1 record was defense-driven.
