100% staged. Just listen to the "reporter"'s voice, so nice, and so prepared. And just look at how happy Dan is, trying to look cool and all. He's loving it. Still cringeworthy, but he's loving it.

My only worry is... could it be the start of Dan being more involved since he's kinda being re-instated by the league and doesn't have much to worry anymore ?
If that's the case, let's hope he focuses on the stadium and name ONLY!
