Come up with a new name for the Redskins

Might be better to wait until the offseason so they can ride the annual offseason hype train a while. Do it now and they are sticking a label on a turd that will forever have the stink of a rudderless franchise

I really don't want the new name being associated with this current piece of shit product they're putting on the field. Delay it until we get good in 2025.

It sure is. I saw a commercial on tv over the weekend advertising good seats available for WFT games. I never thought I'd live to see the day WFT would have advertise to sell game tickets. Forget about selling those tickets, they couldn't give them away.

I'm holding out hope that somehow Congress or whoever finds something that gets Snyder run out of town...because if not, all of us will die knowing that Snyder renamed the team we all grew up loving and single handedly ruined.

If they pick some stupid fuck name like Washington Presidents, I will legitimately think about becoming a Panthers fan. The name change is like Jenga, if they pick the wrong name my whole fan stack is coming down.

Deadskins seems appropriate nowadays.

I don't know if this will translate well, but where I come from we have a tradition at the football team I support (soccer for you colonials). When a substitution is made we chant "WHO?" when the player coming off is announced and the same when his replacement is announced. This is then followed by 3 rounds of "Who are ya (you)", It's all a bit of fun just to have a dig at these guys as football fans do; they could be some the most famous premier league players in history but we make them sound like nobodies.

It makes me think the new name could easily be the 'Washington WHO?'; after all they play like a bunch of nobodies...

Nah it would associate the new team to this massive failure of a season, and with any name you can find jokes and puns when they get destroyed on the field 3 days after announcing the name.

From a marketing stand point, the smart thing to do is stick to the calendar and announce it before the start of free agency, have people excited about something, give them hope that with the new name everything will change, and you have 6 months to build it up before they get humiliated on the field again.
