I'm not saying they aren't there, they just don't appear when I look on my phone. I'll try looking from a computer later.
I'll look into it

The use and meaning of words change over time, what's harmless today might not be down the road. Redtails sounds harmless enough today, who knows down the line. I know it sounds crazy but I'd guarantee that's part of their thinking.
Some of us, well probably only myself it seems, are not as sanguine.

You may be right about their thinking, but it seems to me that people need to start behaving like adults again. Were someone to state that Redhawks or even Redtails of all things was racist, then that would be time for Snyder or anyone else including you and I to stand up and tell the malcontent to grow up and cease the delusional thinking.

I am warming to the idea of Red Scare, because these last few years have an eerie similarity.

I like warthogs. It is unique has ties to the Redskins for those that need that and I like the connection to the rugby team that was in DC.

Redtails not bad either.

I would also embrace something so brazingly stupid that is makes me to an Old School Yes!

I actually like Redtails as I have huge respect for the Tuskegee Airmen-I intentionally took my son to an event to meet one of them because I wanted him to see the embodiment of service, courage, and unselfishness, especially under extreme conditions.

I just fear that when we are bad- and history shows we pretty much always will be- then other fans are going to use it against us.

Everyone knows that "Redtails" is a reference to the Tuskegee Airmen and not an actual bird right? I've seen some comments to that effect in this thread.

Is that possible in today's world? The OK sigh is now construed as racist so I imagine nothing can't be at some point.

I don't think the OK sign is construed as racist. I think it was appropriated by racists IMO there is a difference. That being said if a team logo started showing up as the gear of choice by hate groups then I would suspect some type of change by that team. (note that is not the case with the Redskins)

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22

Idk about you guys but I saw some birds with red tails the other day and I thought they looked cool. Would be pretty sweet to have that as a team name.

I hate saying Warthogs out loud.

The T screws it up and warts are gross.

Someone else suggested Redhawks which is what I thought we were talking about

Now we're really going down the rabbit hole

I think they just want to avoid any possible connotation to skin color, that's all
