Re: Cowboys Questions for Tony McGee

Tony, the Redskins really seem to be hitting their stride with running the ball and the return of Griffin has really given the defense a boost. My big concern as we look towards the Giants is the loss of Randy Thomas. Do you think Ray Brown can step in and keep the running game churning away?

Going off of Matty's question a little bit. Thomas really seemed to be a big part of our offensive running game being so successful. I assume we will still try to rush the ball against the Giants, but do you think we might pass the ball a little more seeing as Thomas won't be there for alot of the counters and powers that require a pulling gaurd?

HIndsight is 20-20, but do you think we should have rested some of our starters at the end when the game was won? SUch as some of the OL and Brunnel? They seemed to be doing that on D (although Williams rotates a lot any way).

Tony,
Did this game against the Cowboys remind you how it was when you played? To me, it seemed like the 1980's all over again! Gibbs was really on with his playcalling and our running game was punishing!

Tony,
How does the atmosphere at FedEx this year compare with RFK in the pasr. It seems to me that every game this year the crowd has gotten louder and more into the games which has seemed to be a boon of sorts to the Skins.

Tony,

Obviously, the only reason for our resurgence has been the white-on-white uni's.

Does Gibbs strike you as the kind of coach who puts stock into good luck situations like our uniforms, or will we see red pants again this year?

Tony....the masterful defensive gameplan put together by GW and his staff had to remind you of the "good ole days" when Richie Petibon(sp) used to gameplan for Dorsett, Danny White, etc...How can this team come out a second consecutive week, with success, and prepare for another MUST win game?

This isn't a question so much as it is a comment. Thanks again for helping us to have one more thing to come back to this website each week. I'm sure I'm speaking for everyone here when I say that we really value your opinion and look forward to your answers to our questions each week.
