It's pretty crazy this dropped him from a pretty much guaranteed 1st round pick to a 5th rounder.

Between the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Howell lost Javonte Williams, Dyami Brown, Dazz Newsome, and Michael Carter to the draft alone. That doesn't even include any O-lineman that started in 2020 that just didn't get drafted, but were still starters. Any QB that loses 4 NFL draft picks from their offense, is very likely going to have a dip in their stats. Especially when its not from a powerhouse that just replaces guys every year, like Bama, GA, OSU, etc.
