Re: Superbowl Predictions!

The Patriots are really the only team that I really really don't want to face. Brady has never lost a playoff game.

Re: Superbowl Predictions!

Have some fun. Ya made picks before the season for fun. How about now?
I made a $20 bet in Vegas back in August for the Redskins to win the Superbowl. Pays 20-1. Still picking the Redskins and still picking the Patriots!

Re: Superbowl Predictions!

A Dream bowl for me would be the Steelers vs Redskins

I had predicted early in the year Seahawks vs Indy

Re: Superbowl Predictions!

From the Washington Post: Theismann's prediction

Sticking to His Prediction

The Redskins haven't even clinched a playoff spot, but Theismann is feeling pretty good about his preseason prediction that his former team will advance to the Super Bowl.

"Yes, I stand behind my prediction," Theismann said. "What's changed to make me change my mind? I don't care if people think I'm a homer. You could analyze this team and come to the same conclusion. Plus, outside of Seattle, there isn't a dominant team in the NFC. They had Tampa on the ropes. Carolina had a must-win at home against Dallas and couldn't win that one, so who is out there in the NFC that they would be considered overmatched against?"

The Redskins can make the playoffs with a win Sunday. Theismann, who watched the Redskins go from 5-6 to a win from a playoff team, says now he isn't the one who is crazy.

"Sean Salisbury said if it happened, he would walk from Dallas to New York, or something like that," Theismann said of his fellow ESPN analyst. "Let me tell you: That's something I don't want to see."

Theismann also failed to mention that we have already beat the Seahawks once this year, albeit close and at home, it was a win. Not sure when we would see them, probably in the Conference champs. My only concern is getting past the Giants again... and if they win vs. Raiders (assuming a win for us in Philly), we would have to travel to the Meadowlands...

Re: Superbowl Predictions!

IF the Redskins make the playoffs and had to play on the road, I'd rather have them facing the Bucs again. The Giants are a strong team at home, and I'm sure Shockey's whining and crying would probably go over better at the Meadowlands than anywhere else.

He predicted the Ravens to win the Superbowl before the 2000 season. He was the only media person allowed to speak with the team before the playoffs along with Jim Brown.

Re: Superbowl Predictions!

Mark Schlereth is hammering the (substitutes for Dan Patrick) ESPN radio guys why the Redskins WILL make the Super Bowl. IT IS AMAZING to hear ANYBODY (with credibility) talking about the Skins in those terms!
