I guess the point that I was trying to make (and not doing a good job at it) is that it seems that the jury is already out on EB about not being HC material, yet somehow Josh McDaniels was given a second opportunity to be a HC after failing miserably at it. And McDaniels was on the same boat as EB = OC of a team that had a legendary coach and QB.

Honestly, I'm not advocating for him to be a HC now, because I have a biased opinion of him.

Some of the Josh stuff is Bill is a D coach by nature, where in KC Andy is a O coach by nature.

Did Bill just give the keys to Josh and the NE O? Thus Josh deserving more credit for NE success O wise

And did Andy just let EB ride along as he really direct the O? Thus was EB just really more a assistant to Andy

EB also has a bit of a checker past (albeit a long time ago) but you are going pay a dude millions and run your billion dollar franchise; IDK that past be a red flag to me

Also its well documented EB is a hard ass; hard asses tend to ruffle feathers, folks with ruffled feathers don't generally like helping the ruffler

Don't really ever see EB being a HC unless he completely turns this O around and other then SH ( i believe is doing well on his own nothing EB doing) every carry over from last year including 17 has regressed under EB.
