Is it only republicans that absolutely have to nominate a centrist as their candidate? Because Kamala Harris is so far away from the center you can't see her down the line. But not hearing anything from the left about needing a centrist in their party.

Really, that's something the left says, then even if a republican centrist win, spends 4 to 8 years shredding that person too. See Bush Jr.

It's so much easier to be a democrat. The cards are stacked in their favor while pretending like they aren't. And they don't apply the rules equally. What's good for the goose is not good for the gander.
