1. Injury to JD5….always running the ball

2. Much tougher schedule

3. Swings and misses from the front office Lattimore…

4. Defense just not working

This whole coaching staff is looking terrible. Kliff runs a college offense. Shit is so fucking boring. Screens aren't working...doesn't matter...still running 15 of them per game.
It looked like Whitt was playing a lot of zone and I just don't get that against Mahomes.

Neither coordinator does much for me. During a crucial part of the game we are going in to score, 2nd and 2 and Kliff calls three straight passes out of shotgun. After that I'm officially done with the guy. You can't do dumb shit like that against KC.

Some teams get to be good every year. Then there is us. We get a 1 year tease then go right back to being absolute dogshit. We fucking suck. Fire both coordinators, get healthy, trade back in the 1st round to get more picks, and replace half the roster for next season.

And not just 3 passes:

2 passes that were both behind the line to gain, then a hail mary chuck down the field on 4th and 1.

It wasn't just 3 passes, it was 3 lame ass passes. But we have no run game w/ this gimmicky offense so this is what we get. Cute bullshit.

We need a OC that wants to line-up under center and pound the fucking rock sometimes.

Watching our offense is like watching every college team now. 99% of them all run the exact same offense now. And ours looks just like it. So so boring!!

It’s a rough season no doubt but I don’t think it is a “we suck again” thing. Vegas saw this coming in offseason when they set the wins. It is classic regression to the mean. Last year we were unbelievably successful at come from behind wins, 4th down success, injuries, Wagner and Ertz over performing. Things were going to level out. 2-3 years ago we would’ve been giddy with a 3-5 record and being “close to .500”

Agree. And I saw this post on Reddit that pointed something out. In every game we've lost we've been in the game within one score, even late, but then the wheels come off. The offense fails to score again or the D shits the bed. There has to be something to that. 🤔

That would fit with regression. Last year the bounces went our way this year not so much.

This is definitely a glass half-full kind of view.

Reality is we've played like a below average team.
Even our wins came against teams on a losing streak...
Giants started 1-4
Raiders were 1-5 weeks 2-7
Chargers only win in weeks 4-7 was against the hapless Dolphins

I liked the effort on Mon night, plenty of guys were flying around and really hitting and competing. They’re just too battered with injuries right now with the main one being Jayden of course. A healthy JD masks a lot of issues. He’s our only hope to salvage the season.

Once the scored on that opening drive it felt like half the D had thrown in the towel.

I'm not going to cry for the heads of Quinn and AP though. Last season was 2 giant steps forward, this season is one big one back. I still don't think we realise what a shit stain Snyder and RR left behind.

Whitt doesn't convince me he knows what to do though, or has the guts to call out stuff (like ill discipline and pulling Wagner out of situations he's a liability). The press stuff last week had me thinking DQ was telling Whitt what to do, and I'm still convinced of that. Maybe not in season (as I think those moves almost never work out), but he shouldn't be here next year. He made 0 half time adjustments I could see and seemed afraid to try to pressure Mahomes (Luvu playing spy FFS?). We need to find our own Vance Joseph or Steve Spagnuolo, that knows what to do and when.
Joseph has done a real nice job with that defense. And I also did not get Luvu playing spy. He's not real good in open space. None of our LB's are. Made zero sense.

But a good GM would have been able to see or predict regression, especially w/ Wagner. All AP had to do was look at the last two games of the year to realize that resigning Wagner was not a good idea. Detroit and the Eagles totally abused him.

As far as Ertz goes, they have to get Sinnott on the field more. He's a high draft pick and unless he is totally incompetent, which I don't see, get him out there. I don't get why he's not playing more.

No doubt the effort was there, however the talent is not.

Without knowing what AP was thinking I agree. Perhaps he had his budget priorities elsewhere? i.e. Terry resigning etc. But there are definitely holes that weren't filled or needs that were not addressed.

With AP he will get a leash especially as they try to build around JD but one of the things he has done that I don't like is trading away draft picks which is a very Vinny/Bruce thing to do. I'd prefer a Bill Belichick accrue draft picks mentality
