He wasn’t DC then. Dan is familiar with him. He was Dan’s DC the year he got fired from Falcons. Raheem is living off his 3 years of being Rams DC: 21-23.

It will be someone Dan’s familiar with.
He knows the defense must improve in 26 or else; he could be unemployed in 27. I think he goes with familiarity over bringing someone he’s never worked before. Yes, I know he did that with KK on offense and could do that again; should KK leave. On defense, he will want familiarity though.
