Re: Rose Bowl

How do you have the Heisman winner on the sideline with 4th and 2 for the game basically? Coaching lost this one.

Re: Rose Bowl

yeah young definitely has some legs on him, still unsure about his arm except on quick dumps, but I'm sorry if you take away that boneheaded lateral by bush this game isn't even close cuz that play seemed to absolutely destroy usc momentum in the first half even though they got back on track offensively in the second half.

I didn't notice bush was on the sidelines but I would have thought they'd have tried for a short out to try and atleast give themselves a chance with a field goal to go to overtime. that last play looked fubared almost from the get go.

Re: Rose Bowl

I know after watching the first half I didn't expect the second half to be the polar opposite and result in an offensive explosion. and I don't know why but for me it reminded me of the skins last playoff game when the bucs seemed to have all of their own fumbles bounce back towards their players.

I was talking about before Young scored the go ahead touchdown. USC had the ball around mid-field and had Bush on the sidelines on 4th and 2. Inexcusable in every way. You gotta get your Heisman winner the ball in the situation. White is a great ball player. Bush is the freakin' Heisman winner. Heisman gets the ball. Hell let your Heisman QB throw it your Heisman RB. Sounds better than giving the ball to your second string RB(I know he is more than a second stringer but not on this team he really isn't).

Re: Rose Bowl

nah i don't fault the playcall on fourth. bush was getting stuffed the entire game (longhorns D was focused on RB the entire month) and lendale was getting the 6 yard clips in the second half. i'm glad we went for it on fourth- it just didn't go our way.

Lindell White was averaging 6 YPC in the 2nd half. I really can't blame the coaching staff for that one.

No offense to the USC fans but I hate USC football! Texas is a beast. Bush is the next NFL #1 pick bust.

BSB -- Goodluck with getting into Texas bro. Thanks to Texas getting rid of affirmative action and instead changing it so if you get a 3.0 in High School you're automatically given acceptance into any public Texas school (really not a bad idea IMO) It makes it very hard for out of staters. I applyed and didn't get in (no big suprise). However, my friend had a 3.8 at his college and even some extra curricular and he didn't get in. It's a tough school, but I'd kill to go there. I'm such a loser I'm considering moving to Austin after school, the town is awesome!

I live in Austin....its a fantastic city. Actually most of the people here hate the Cowboys because Jerry Jones doesn't draft UT players and they really hate that organization now. If you can live here, DO IT! There is so much to do and now we not only have NCAA Football Champions, we also are the reigning NCAA Mens Baseball Champions....the town is pumped! BIG PARTY for the lighting of the tower tomorrow night - expecting over 250,000 people when they bring the crystal football back home!

yo Daseal, i always had a hunch you had something against my boys with some of your posts but i never said it... so it's true!

i can understand the feeling though... the best teams always get mad haterade. i remember miami used to be the dynasty everyone loved to hate. but i gotta say in our defense, we're not miami- we don't have thugs, and if someone messes up bad he gets kicked off the team immediately (eric wright). I love the way Pete Carrol has turned the program around. If you listen to the guys in their interviews, the players are having fun while learning to play the right way. Reggie and Matt went over to the texas locker room after the game to wish congratulations. Our boys are doing it the right way and they're getting the most out of their experience. What other school would have had a sure fire number one pick return for his senior season?
