I think he ends of as Ravens DC but as Jamf says maybe he wants to go OC and escape the pressure of HC for a bit

HC not DC

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel

MM never won the division or a playoff game.
He will get HC interviews but I’m not certain he gets a HC job.
Same deal for KK when he left AZ.

This is a good landing spot for Mike since we have a QB!
Put up a top 5 offense and he is back in line for a HC job.

Agreed, although between his capris and DQ's backwards cap, our sideline will be a fashion nightmare. In all seriousness, he did really well working with Kyle S. in SF and has been shown to be innovative.

On the DC front, I am intrigued by Al Harris (https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/al...m90hc4iuxm9-Hy). Sounds like he may be ready to step up to the DC role.

KK to interview for the HC slot with the Ravens and Titans.

So far. There seems to be much speculation at least one or more might get fired if they don't win this weekend.

8 so far now. Yes, I can see at least one opening ; should Bills, Steelers and Packers lose.

I'd be pretty surprised if the Steelers or Packers make a move here. The Bills may be different -- there are only so many times you can bow out early in the playoffs with Josh Allen as your QB and survive, I'd think. If the Steelers let Tomlin go, he'd have options within nanoseconds, including from teams whose coaches were otherwise safe.

Tomlin would leave on his own. He has one more year left. Reports say, he has a tv gig lined up and would do that, if left. He’d wait until 27; to return to coaching.

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel

Lions have reportedly approached McDaniel to be their OC. If we didn't, we should have got in there first. If teams are clamouring to make him an OC, I doubt he gets another immediate HC slot as they see him needing more development before being a HC again. Personally I think he's still a bit naive for a HC.

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel

My guess Matt Lefleur’s seat is hot after tonight. Packers have a new President and isn’t tied to this coach. He could tell the gm to make a head coaching change.

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel

Not an unbelievable scenario. Lafleur may have peaked 3 years ago, and with the North being a very tough division, it's not that he's bad, they may just think they can get better. But if it doesn't happen Monday (they need to get into the interview cycle while candidates are available) I don't thin it happens this year.

Re: The annual NFL coaching/gm carousel

I don’t see the Packers moving on for anyone available - except for Harbaugh. Or Tomlin if he were available.

You'd think Tomlin was fed up of coaching in the freezing cold by now. 😁

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel

The only possible changes that could still happen:

Packers move on from Lefleur and the Bills fail to reach Superbowl and move on from Mcdermott.

9 openings is high.
