Wylie re-signed. Reasonable deal for a guy that can backup every OL position.

Is anyone else shocked by this? To be clear, I thought Biadsz was a good but not great center, and I wouldn't say that an upgrade was impossible, but unless there's someone on the team that they have confidence in taking over that important position, we're just adding to the list of critical needs. So now CB, DE, S, LB, TE, WR, and now C are all positions where we need serious help. They'd better extend Tunsil and re-sign Paul.

we will see how it shacks out but the new FO has been a head scratcher

Biadz was one of their better signings, maybe they want a center that is better with the QB under center, no idea

its a big year for DQ and Adam, see what happens

Yeah I'm surprised by the release of Biadsz, we saved only under $3 million with this move so this is definitely not a cap saving move. But then we have a new OC and I'm guessing that Blough wants a center who fits better with his offense style.

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

Isn't there a question about how injured he was at the end of the season? Could it be that's a factor as well as whether he can play in teh new O?

2026 cap is up from $279.2 million last year to $301.2 million this year. That’s $22 million more this year.

Wow. Eager to see what Commanders do in FA. Really hope the defense will be upgraded significantly which I expect. New defensive coordinator Daronte Jones is supposed to be excel with the secondary.

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

They better improve or else someone else will be gm in 2027.

AP has to erase last year’s mistakes and sign young and faster free agents that actually turn the team around. The offense and especially defense has to be vastly improved.

DQ’s floor is 9-8. The offense bounces back. The defense improves from 32 to say at minimum 18-20. Playoffs would be preferred but the nfc will be more competitive this year. A losing record is not acceptable.

Commanders release Lattimore:

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...more-save-185m

Brutal move we made here acquiring Lattimore that many felt would work out. Not to be.

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

Re-signed Allegretti. Suggestions he would be pegged as the new starting C subject to draft/FA.

Saw something on FB suggesting Von Miller has signed a 1 year deal but can't find official word.

Cardinals to cut Kyler Murray:

Imagine he won't be unemployed long.

Actually he might have a wait. He did little in Arizona and he’s a small qb.

True, but there are a bunch of teams with QB needs -- MIA, PIT, MIN, CLE, ATL, LAS, and NYJ -- and it's hard to imagine that one of them won't make a move to see what Murray has. The teams in AZ underperformed pretty much across all position groups, even if they have had a number of good individual players, and folks might well think he could flourish elsewhere.
