People watch it. Not me unless the commanders are in it but that is not for me

Re: Around the League

Browns proposing allowing trades with picks up to 5 years ahead. This feels a bit like heading towards madness. How long before a team gives up their whole future draft potential to just win now. Little surprise the Rams are in support. I'd definitely be a buyer in that scenario ("sure we'll have those picks, at the rate you're going, that's a whole slew of #1 picks you're giving up"), but I would be very reticent to gamble away so much draft capital, and then be unable to plan a recovery. GM's living by the sword...

Yeah, I don't agree with this idea. A single mistake of trading away that much could cripple a team for years to come, which could make the division less fun.

Don't like the idea at all. Way too far in the future. Really hope this doesn't gain legs. Way too much unknown 5 years from now to make a current trade on many levels.

The current attack against the NFL’s antitrust division can go in several different directions. Some good, some not so good. Some disastrous.

The league could potentially be ordered to stop selling game packages to cable, satellite, and/or streaming providers. The league could possibly lose its entire antitrust exemption, ending the NFL’s ability to sell broadcast rights in a block.

The end result could be chaos for the NFL. Chaos in the form of some teams earning many millions more for their home games than other teams. Chaos in the form of the end of TV revenue sharing. Chaos in the form of the implosion of the salary-cap formula.<<<<

The nfl loses their antitrust exemption, football becomes like baseball. The nfl is altered forever.

Though Dallas who likely be the top earning team; still couldn’t buy their way to a championship.

I love the idea. Didn't know there was a limit. Frankly I like the idea of 20 years in the future.

Re: Around the League

Trent Williams just signed a 2 year extension. Remarkable that he’s played at such a high level for so long. Man, how nice would it have been to have him in DC his whole career. Just awful how things ended here.

It is incredible agree his tenure. Few tackles have been blessed with his quick feet and overall athleticism for a man of his size. Yes it sucks we could not have kept him long term painful to think about honestly.

Re: Around the League

BTW, Aaron Rodgers is the biggest diva in the league. He's not gotten around to deciding whether to play next season or not, and it is being reported that he's leaving the Steelers wondering whether they'll have a starting QB up to and through the draft. That he hasn't decided by now -- 2 days before the draft -- only serves to underscore what a selfish a-hole he is. I hope the Steelers move on from him -- "Hey, sorry Aaron, but we didn't hear from you, so.... Enjoy retirement."

Re: Around the League

I will admit I thought there would be a bigger reaction here about the Dexter Lawrence trade. I am happy with the result.

The Bengals completely screwed over the other 3 NFCE teams. Absolutely atrocious decision by Cincinnati. Giants fleeced them. Chance for the Giants to add two blue-chip caliber players in the 1st 10 picks. I hope the Bengals suck this year.
