I wouldn't even sign George Pickens as a free agent, never the less do a trade for him. He's toxic and a locker room cancer. Multiple stories now spanning Pittsburgh AND Dallas of his constant late for meetings, not doing what is required. Yeah, fuck that.

So Styles it is.. I don't know. My thing is where are they going to put him? He almost seems like a guy that for the NFL that doesn't seem to have a position. OLB in a 3-4?

The positive is you have a premium athlete that is big and can cover some ground. Cover some TE's which is something we haven't had since Monte Coleman.

Gotta say though we now have some athletes on the defense.

I think you misunderstood. I saw a couple of articles/videos suggesting Styles was overhyped, not that I had a real opinion (have only seen limited film). I was just supposing that if he wasn't available/the pick, and many mocks had him gone before 7, I'd like to see Downs, Delane or Tate picked.

They were hot on Styles, so feels like a good pick. Hope we don't get buyers regret with Downs in the division. Surprised he slipped outside (just) the top 10.

I think we're gonna get Delane

I was wrong, mainly because we got lucky someone drafted Delane over Styles.
We got lucky here with Styles dropping to us as he is ideal for us, although Delane could heen our top pick if Styles was gone.
This was MY draft for Washington, Adam Peters said he thought the floor for Tate was 9, meaning, they were Not going to take him, so that seems to fit.
I would not be surprised if this list matches the Skins board.
We may never know, but I sure am happy our top pick if what was realistic occured and we got Styles.

The key here is our front 7 is now complete, this means the middle of the field and run defense, that forces 3rd downs, remember those?

Keim implied that Styles is likely to be a MLB, so he will be our defense QB.

And with Luvu, Chenal and maybe even MaGee all able to swap positions to a degree (large degree with Chenal) I don't think beyond the depth chart these players are going to be pegged into a specific slot. If as expected we go 3-4, that's a lot of flexibility between downs. Potentially on any down, any 1 or 2 of those LB's can be set free to attack, with the other 2 holding the middle up nicely. Certainly going to be interesting.
