He made it LOOK illegal with his speed and intensity but I agree.... a ton of legal hits. Never lowered his helmet. The league is a lot softer these days and the refs would be overly flag happy with him I'm sure... and i would complain about them more than i even do now - which would be an accomplishment

This. The combination of Taylor's size and speed were deadly - he sent players flying and this alone is more than enough for refs to flag.
