A WR version of Albert Haynesworthless.

Hard to not cheer for JD5. Really hope he stays healthy this year.

No chance he's on the Commanders at this point.

Re: Post Draft: Who do you want at WR2 / X Receiver?

Part of me wants a less than stellar Deebo back to get some nasty 5 yard screens.
It is an attitude that I always appreciated. He's basically a wide TE. As long as we have some sort of wide speed deep threat, why not have both? I mean NASTY is a thing. There is a RIGGO element I identity with, not so much victim Aiyuk premidona shit.
Football is ass kicking. Attitude is everything.

Re: Post Draft: Who do you want at WR2 / X Receiver?

I'm not enlightened enough on what we have, at least until camp, so I'm looking at what's available. I can see the logic of bringing in Diggs and Samuel on 1 year deals so we can hopefully draft our next #1 and #2 WR's next year (on the assumption Scary is gone inside 3 years). I don't want Aiyuk now; the guy appears unhinged at this point. I look at the likes of the Bengals. A prime #1 WR, solid #2 and a reliable TE target. I'd say we're almost there for the next year or two, but beyond that we must find draft talent and not a stream of FA's and low round picks. Diggs would be a true #2 and Deebo gives us that slot/screen/gadget guy again. I really wish some of the depth talent would step up, but we can't rely on them to do that and so we need at least one insurance guy in place. I say both of them. With Scary and Okonkwo we should have at least 1 guy open every play, and massively reduce JD5's need to run.

Well, kinda see why the Patriots cut him. Diggs is solid, but his home life is a problem.
Certainly not a self disciplined person off the field. Another shame, but this was known all along. There is really no one else that is McClauren injury insurance.

We may have no choice but to roll with our under impressive wr corp

So Hopkins or Deebo?
I prefer Hopkins, as he at least has #1 receiver experience

Lol well, at this point, I think it's pretty safe to assume that we are going to stick with what we currently have, like it or not.

No thanks to Hopkins - he is like Ertz at this point of his career, can make clutch catches and that's it.

Not good news about Diggs at all. At this point, all of us need to pray McLaurin stays healthy this year. If he goes down, we are in trouble. With him, I think we can be ok not elite. Eager to see what Burks and Williams can do. Chig should help and hopefully Brown/McCaffrey. Still maintain this offense primarily will go with the oline and JD5 remaining healthy.

And who needs someone to make clutch catches? I guess having 1 is entirely enough.
Don't worry NFL defensive coordinators won't figure out how to double team McClauren on 3rd and 8 down by 4 with 30 seconds left.

Let's not diss Ertz, the dude was massively dependable. We need more of that. Not sure Chig would be considered as clutch as him yet, so there is a drop-off there. More deep routes, sure.

I don't want to discount a signing like Hopkins aka Noah Brown. That nobody dude launched our dream 2024 winning streak because of a single game winning catch. Right place, right time, low drop percentage. I argue we need one of those too. Not sure we have dependable hands at wr other than Terry.
Fingers crossed is no way to go about building year 3 with a star QB, but I think that is where we are headed. Because of this WR gap alone, I do not see us with a winning record. I sure hope I am wrong.

I’d be ok with that. He played well for us last year with not a lot of help around him. Showed up and worked hard. Was a good teammate by all accounts. Be curious to see him in a new offense. I could see him working like a 3rd TE in 3 TE sets.

Ertz was a good player for Commanders and Eagles. He doesn't have the athletic skills Chig does nor runs a 4.52 40. Chig could be a serious weapon for Daniels. Loved this signing and eager to see what he does. Agree with you about Ertz being clutch. Dude had strong hands also.
