Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp

The problem with losing a guy is if the next guy gets hurt.

The drop of from Tunsil to Coleman is significant, mainly because Tunsil is a Top 3 LT in the NFL. But the drop off from Coleman to whoever is the 3rd LT is going to be a huge fucking drop off from Tunsil.

This injury is a giant fuck you to our season for this cursed fucking franchise.

Damn you. Lol. I was excited. Because like SD said - we are one injury away from a top 5 pick. I actually have confidence in Coleman, but if he gets hurt well……

Very sorry about that. Thought about just deleting the post but worried it would create more confusion. Total gaffe on my part.

I am hopeful that Coleman is ready for the next step and that this becomes a pivotal part of his development into an eventual long term starter.

I would still sign Decker asap. He has a history with David Blough. Need to maximize JD5's rookie contract and the upgrades on the team. Decker has experience and is a solid left tackle. Signing him also immediately gives us more depth. Even a 1 year deal works at this point until Tunsil is good. Sign him.

Doubt he is looking to sign to be a backup. Probably waiting until a starter goes down with no clear replacement. Team already announced they're going with Coleman.

I'm not suggesting signing him to be a backup. I'm advocating to sign him to be a starter. Losing Tunsil other than a loss of a top 3 tackle also hits depth at a critical position. Decker solidifies the spot and increases depth. Doubt he picks up the phone if we wait later in the year to call him if we suffer another injury.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp

Look at this pre-season schedule. We are 1 out of 4 games that isn't on some channel or another. Just lol.

If our coaches are worth a damn, they’ll find a way around this. Minimum expectation is still at least a 9-8 record. DQ can’t do that, what’s the point of him. Playoffs might be out the window now but at least a winning season.6
Next man up. Good teams can overcome injuries. The so so to bad teams can't and don't.

I don't get it either. Yes he was great there but not sure he was promised anything nor did he come close to winning a title. We have a lot more important things to worry about with the season nearly here, but this is weird and kind of surprising.

Let it go JD. You got way more important things to worry about. Whomever is advising him ( mommie) needs to get in his ear and tell him to move on and drop this.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp

Joint practice with Dolphins was great.

Jayden seems to have already fully transitioned to under center and has replaced Ertz with Diggs. Our edge rush was awesome
The adoption of both offense and defense seem to be fully understood. Even the kickers were flawless.

The concern of Coleman taking over LT didn't seem to directly show up, however it did expose connelly at RT with solo pass blocking against Chop Robinson. And the interior oline was an issue with bad snaps and going backwards against the run. So they will shore that up. Much of that was 2nd string unknown guards being bad and both of our backup centers having snapping issues : good jones (against the 1's) and Gulbin (vs 2's)

My prediction: we will pick up 2 more guard/center and a guard/tackles as the ones we have for camp aren't cutting it.

However, our other primary 2nd string center is doing quite well, he should ascend, he made great calls, snapped well and held his own in run blocking. Barring a trade, he is likely to be our backup center and has potential to start believe it or not ( think Rasul Douglas)

His name Center: Daniel Brunskil
This dude is gunna make the team

The only reason they won't play him at the preseason game with the ones over good jones is to keep it consistent until Allegretti is back on Monday.

Good Jones has one last shot, perhaps even to make the 53, it is Friday night
Gulbin is a project that frankly, shouldn't be on the 53 yet, yes someone may scoop him at final cuts, but he's not really a mobile scheme fit anyways. No way I keep him over a wr/RB/edge.
I think we will be good enough at center because Good Jones is only in right now as an experiment. I think he is a cut candidate.

Little more nuance to the story than headlines let on. LSU has used his NIL rights past the expiration with the expectation they wouldn’t give out his number.

Why would Diggs do this to a Skins hero QB when he knows his new QB has this same exact beef?
